I have the 13 inch Macbook Air and I have NEVER played the Sims on my Macbook before or my other laptop. I need to understand how this Origin thing works because I know that it says you need that to play The Sims. The point is that my Macbook does not have a disk drive to put the disk in. Once The Sims 4 comes out, what do I need to do in order to get The Sims 4 for my Macbook? Please help and also by informing me how this Origin process works. Thanks for your support!
In the same way Is a MacBook good to play Sims on? There are many other suitable options for a Sims 4 laptop out there, like the newer MacBook Pros (2014 onwards) and the MacBook Air (2015 onwards), which can run the game with pretty much all the expansions at low to medium graphics settings. Sims 3 will not run well, if at all, on your 2015 MacBook Air because you have Intel graphics which are not supported in the game. Sims 3 is also not natively written for OS X so unfortunately there have always been issues with it on Macs. Sims 4 should run ok, it is native to OS X, but bear in mind MacBook Airs are not very powerful.

In my house The Sims is the game to play. We all spend hours creating the perfect Sim, trying to make them look like each other and even building a house to look like ours. Since we play a lot of video games, but since two of our computers are Macs, we figured out how to play PC games on a Mac, too!
The first thing you need to do is to Bootcamp your Mac. This isn’t some silly workaround. Apple actually has instructions for how to bootcamp your Mac on their website and the software is already installed on your computer. So you don’t need to worry about security and all that.

Once you’ve set up you Mac to to boot in Windows mode, just hold down control and start your computer! Click the drive you named “Windows” and your Mac will boot up in Windows mode so you can play The Sims™ 4!
Install the game according to the instructions on the insert inside the game.
